Do i need a gun permite for a paintball gun in QLD?

i am 15 and i wont to get a paintball gun. do i need to get a gun licence or what ? when i got and play at my local field, you have to be at least 15 years old to play.is this because of the age regiments to use the guns or just a safety thing...? cheers
