Is this really a picture of our great-grandmother?

Even though I can see the validity of the theory of evolution through natural selection, I really don't believe we evolved from apes. The belief among Muslims is that we're descended from Adam and Eve but I don't know if it's clear that they looked like us. Maybe they were put into the bodies of Neanderthals but I really doubt it.
