Why are video games not released in most of Asia, Africa, or South America?

They deserve games too. I know Japan makes video games, but they never release them in Russia, China, India, or in fact anywhere else in Asia. I might understand Africa is one of the poorest continents, but I don't know. Is the same true for South America? Why don't they get video game releases? Can't be translation problems, not even for Chinese (use same characters in Japan). Most languages are derived from English (other way around?) so that couldn't be it. Don't say, however, "OMG BECUZ THOZ COUNTRYS R DUM!" or something like that.
