Last September, my friend and I (and my dog) went camping near Sisters, OR. We eventually settled on a spot up an abandoned logging trail, miles from civilization. We were barely able to get our truck up there because the bushes were so overgrown on each side. We set up our tent and built a fire (after some travail), but from the moment we set foot outside the vehicle, we each had a strange feeling, like someone was watching us. We both felt it, but didn’t say anything about it. Later that night, after it had gotten quite dark, we were reading stories in the tent when the dog started barking ferociously (and he’s not a yappy dog; he barks very rarely, and only when he feels threatened). We were instantly terrified out of our minds and made like a thousand plans of what to do. The dog eventually calmed down, but it was short-lived. After maybe five minutes, he started barking frantically again. We eventually settled on trying to get to the vehicle, and waiting till morning when whatever it was left (we didn’t want to leave all our stuff). Once the dog calmed down again, we scrambled haphazardly to the truck and jumped inside, pulling the dog in behind us. Since it was a small cab, we tried the best we could to accommodate ourselves for sleeping, but it was really uncomfortable. Hyped up with a major adrenaline rush, and freezing to boot, we were unable to fall asleep until about 3:00 a.m. At around 5:00, we were all in a dead sleep, when suddenly, at the same time, we woke up. We noticed at once that it was frigid, pitch black outside, and there was a thick fog enshrouding everything around us. But what attracted our attention the most was a large, round, red light (about the size of a basketball) hovering about six feet above the ground, floating smoothly towards us at a measured pace. It came towards the truck head-on, then moved aside on the left, ping within inches of the window, not illuminating anything at all. (We ducked down, trying to stay hidden.) After the light ped the truck, making absolutely no noise at all, it vanished. The dog was so scared that he couldn’t bark, but he was trembling so hard he made the truck shake. We can say with certainty that we have never been that scared in our entire lives, and the experience made us acutely paranoid for weeks thereafter. Though we were terrified, we decided to wait it out till morning so we could get the tent. Needless to say, we had no more sleep the rest of the night. When it grew light, we jumped out and loaded everything up with lightning speed. (Actually, we sent the dog out first to investigate. He sniffed along the exact path where the red light ped. We looked there as well, but saw no footprints of any kind.) Once we were loaded up, I started the truck and we shot down that rugged mountain road at breakneck speed. We didn’t slow down till we were safely home, and we were exhausted and extremely disturbed for days afterwards. What do you think it is we saw?

it's for women. the magazine ads are very artsy and catchy. For each scent, there's a different advertisement picture (in magazines). I'm stuck in a situation right now. I have a Windows 7 OS 32-bit, but I'm thinking about upgrading it to a 64-bit now since i have more RAM. I know that people have asked so many times, but do I really have to reformat my hard disk in order to change the OS in the process? Its the same OS cept i'm just changing 32 to 64 bit. Question about western saddle?

after reading article after article and finding out that every horse trainer or tack shop owner i speak to contradicts one another, i've become extremely stressed out and confused about finding the right saddle. i tried cutting out templates, even bending the wire hanger over my horse's withers and still can't find a saddle that fits. i've come to the point where i have just bought different saddles of different tree widths. there is only one that i think might be fitting both of my horses okay (they are both quarter horses and have roughly the same measurements of height, girth, etc.) the saddle is snug behind their shoulder and along their back, not pinching at all and i can fit my hand under there comfortably, but towards the back the saddle is a little stiff and sticks up in the air a bit. it does this with all of my saddle pads, i can fit 3 fingers between the withers and gullet so i know its clearing their spine. is it okay for a saddle to pop up a little bit? the narrow saddle trees pinched the hell out of my horse's and this one is the widest one i have without being too wide that it sits on their withers. when i sit in the saddle it doesn't pop up, but bounces a tiny bit. the horses show no sign of discomfort (biting, bucking, rearing, ears pinned) i'm just completely confused because i have had people say that it has to touch evenly along the horses back and not pop up at all, but what about when I'm in the saddle?? thats what matters right?

99 Toyota Camry with intermittent starting problem: sometimes it will, sometimes it won't with no cranking

99 Camry starts when it feels like it. Usually, it starts right up. Occasionally, it will not start at all. All lights come on, but no cranking. I have had electrical checked. Can Being Awake Under Moonlight Inhibit Melatonin Production?

I normally go to bed at 1 am and wake up at 9 am. Sunrise is 6:30, so normally I only get 5.5 hours of sleep in darkness. Someone told me that sleeping in darkness is important because the body needs darkness to produce melatonin, which is important for good health. I sleep at 1am on weekdays because I work afternoon shifts during weekdays. I am now trying to make up for this by sleeping early during the weekends, e.g. going to bed at 9pm on Saturdays. However, I have noticed that if I go to bed at this time I often stay awake for a long time. What I want to know is if lying in bed awake produces melatonin or must I be asleep for melatonin to be produced. Also, I am slightly worried because moonlight comes into my room through the curtains and I am worried that moonlight might disrupt melatonin production. Should I be worried about moonlight?

I am a late 20's year old man with a hobby model girlfriend ( mid twenties ) who also works full time also. She is very beautiful and we look real good together. She is also a very sweet and trustworthy girlfriend among other things. We have been together for 5 years now and we have had our ups and downs like every couple. We have been living together for a year now and its been kinda ruff sometimes and great other times again usual. My girl is very self centered not in a conceded way but about life in general. Hi, I'm about to turn 15, I've been going to dermatologists for over three years now, nothing has worked, I've tried antibiotics, many topical creams and etc etc, you name it. It's extremely intense, my nose looks like puffy and inflated all the time, red, several large bumps usually occupy it (and they're very painful,like ingrown pimple things, not whiteheads) and it's just reaalll bad. I have them all over my face but my nose is the worst because of it's "swelling look", make up doesn't cover any of it. I'm already on birth control, my pediatrician wanted me on it. Except for the fact I've been on it almost a month and I've been bleeding for 25 days, I have to go see a gynecologist this upcoming monday for that (It's extensive and bad, my mom just thinks I may have a cist) Anyways, irrelevant, lol, sorry. Point is, my new dermatologist is putting me on Accutane. I know two people on it, but I just wanted to get another opinion as well. I've had a history of some anxiety disorder thing and I've talked to my mom about the possibilty that I might be depressed (seeing a pyschologist soon) and she's apprehensive on putting me on this. So I have had similar dreams to this one on numerous occasions, each dream is completely different but yet the atmosphere is the same. I find it hard to describe what happens in the dream because I'm basically dreaming about thought there are no objects, people or really any setting in these dream. I remember the dream is really really dark and there is a strong sense of death as in spending eternity in nothingness. Why are disabled people expected to be heroes?

So many times I've been told I'm some sort of hero for getting up and going grocery shopping. I've seen so many disabled people being all but worshiped simply for living. People with Downs syndrome are stereotyped as being uncaring and overly friendly, without true emotions. People in wheelchairs are viewed as heroes simply for living their lives. Asthma Help?????????

I was diagnosed with asthma 2 years ago. Gradually even with Prednisone it didnt help my weezing. I have the Flovent which dosent work abuteral as well. With all this medication the docters keep telling me to the same thing albuteral over and over again. But a week awhile I went to Florida with my dad and the weezing and coughs were gradually going away on the last 3 days it was compleately gone. But when I came back to machusetts the weezing and coughing started again. I was coughing and night and the weezing is getting on my nervers. Is asthma more common is Machusetts then Florida? Because my 4 closest have friends have asthma as well although medication works for them...But I ume mine is more serious. Does anyone have an explanation for this?

Okay so I think I may have EDNOS (eating disorder not otherwise specified). I have been obsessed with my weight and my appearance for about a year now. I also feel worthless all the time. I use food as a way to control my life and make it better in the future. Here's an example of a week's diet. For the first four days I would limit myself to 500 calories a day, but then I would be so hungry on the fifth day that I end up eating about 3000-3500 maybe and then I feel guilty. I try to purge, I can't though, I managed to puke out a little bit of food the other day but not much. I sometimes excersize excessively to try and burn the food off. I lost weight last year by eating a healthy 1200 calories and I became really skinny but I didn't think I was skinny, I thought I still looked the same, even when everyone was telling me I was too thin. I eventually believed them I decided to eat back to normal again. My mother later on told me I had gained weight but she meant it in a nice way. I was so shocked because whenever i here the word 'weight gain' i think of fat. I got depressed because I thought I was big and I began to binge eat so much. Anorexia symptoms then came after that but I still binge at times and feel like sh** afterwards:/. I wish I could enjoy food and have a good relationship with it but I can't. I also always eat healthy foods because I want to care for my body but when I binge I can't stop myself and I have to eat lots of sugar. I always see food as an enemy. I never socialise because I'm worried about what people think of me and what boys I know would say. I hate leaving the house. I'm so alone. All I have is my school work to keep my mind off things. What doesn't help is that I only live with my mum. My dad lives in darby and he has a new family now and he's getting married to his girlfriend next year. He sees me every fortnight but I want him home with mum. My brother is at university so I only see him in the holidays. They are the times I feel happier.. I'm 15.. I'm still young.. and I just want to get my life back on track again:/

I have proven the life after death when I have learned that the soul of the dead is asking prayer from the living for him to see the light going up to Heaven. Well I had perfectly clear skin! I had gotten ride of ALL my body acne and everything(it is very mild) Well lo and behold my monthly visitor came and now i look like crap! I have recently 2 days ago switched to the St Ives apricot scrub and for the body acne I was using the neutrogena facial scrub as it worked very well for body acne but am now using the neutrogena body wash. Should this do the trick in taking care of my hideous breakout? What spot treatment would you recommend?

My dad keeps telling me that I should go to San Jose State since its closer but I don't want to do it. I want to go to UC's but my gpa is too low because I did not take PE in my freshman year due to a charter school that I went to. He wants me to go there because it is much closer to our house. If I can get to a CSU I would like to go to Long Beach State University or something higher. San Jose State doesn't have everything I want. For example, I want to go to Russia in my college years but the only CSU that have it is Cal Poly Pomona and Long Beach State. Have them imagine themselves in the desert during the hottest time of the day. Sweat dripping off their foreheads. Have the other half think about being at the North Pole. Visualize the snow and think of being there in speedos. You have to talk them through the visualization. They must really concentrate. Compare the group temperatures before, during, and after. Have a control group that does no visualization and take their temperature at the same time intervals you take everyone elses.

Complicated Real Estate Question?

I have a client who is wanting to put an offer in on a Fannie Mae foreclosure, and they are paying in cash. They are needing to spend all of $300,000 that is coming from an insurance claim, and it has to all be spent on the house. The problem is, the house needs a little work, and is listed at $290,000. Fannie Mae will not improve the property to increase the value of the home to the $300,000 mark. The buyers must spend the entire $300,000 as stated in their claim or the excess monies must be returned. How could we set this up so that it may be possible to negotiate the price downward, but claim that the entire $300,000 was used to purchase the property, with the excess money being used to fix the place up?

Help!! Family crisis, don't know what to say!!?

Alright, well, I really hate my paternal aunt, so it's good that we're usually separated by the Pacific Ocean. Anyway, she's coming over to live with me for a month (well, to live with my other relatives as well) and I just don't like her. She goes BALLISTIC about the littlest things! For instance..... The last time my aunt came to live with me (about four years ago), my best friend was living with me as well. Anyway, one day, my aunt gives me her pants to put in the wash,except she says "Don't put them in the machine, hand- wash them". My friend didn't know that and put them in the wash. When the pants came out of the wash, they were too small to fit a Cabbage Patch kid, let alone my aunt. And my God....... my aunt went nuts. She was shouting at everyone (including my boyfriend, even though he didn't even do anything) and she was pushing everyone, and you get the picture. It was pretty scary. Anyway, my cousin (my aunt's daughter) is living with us right now, so she's really excited. But I couldn't be more UN- enthusiastic in my life!! So it gets really annoying when my cousin goes on and on about how much fun we're going to have, etc. I can't tell my father about this, because that would seem offensive, I can't tell my mother, because, come on, what's she going to do? I definitely can't tell my cousin, and all my other relatives live overseas! Please help me!
